There’s one element of my morning routine that I get asked about a lot: taking a cold shower. Even though we’ve talked about cold therapy before, the idea of submersing yourself in cold water can be intimidating. How do you create change that lasts?

The average person has around 60,000 thoughts every day. The problem is up to 95% of those thoughts are the same ones you’ve already had. If you want different results, you need a new behavior. And to get a new behavior, you have start by developing new capacities, capabilities, and beliefs.

This topic is one I get questioned about a lot in our Kwik Brain Universe, and I’m excited to break down the core components that go into generating change that lasts a lifetime.

Change is hard. And it can be difficult to get out of your own way. But you can take the first step by shifting your perspective, your surroundings, and the things you’re exposed to. How do you organize your day to get the most out of it?

Our community is made up of people all over the world. And while not everyone has the same education, income, or networking connections, the one thing we all have equally is time. Everyone has the same twenty-four hours in the day, but it’s up to you how to utilize them to your advantage.

What if you could read one book a week without speed reading?

The average American reads four books a year. Compare that to the average CEO who reads four to five books a month, and it’s easy to see how reading one book a week, fifty-two books a year, is a huge advantage in business, learning, and life. There’s no denying that leaders are readers.

I love the topic of today’s episode. Reading is important to me because I grew up with learning challenges from a brain injury. It took me a few extra years to learn how to read and it was one of my biggest challenges. That’s why I’m so passionate about helping you unlock your reading superpower.
